The Federal Skilled Worker Program: this category is for professionals and skilled workers from around the world who intend to permanently settle in Canada. To be eligible for this program, you need to have at least 1 year of continuous full time job or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled occupation under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill level 0, A, or B.

 

The Canadian Experience Class: this is for foreign workers and international students with prior Canadian education and working experience who would like to become permanent residents. To be eligible in this category, you must have at least 1 year of professional, skilled or technical work experience in Canada within 3 years of application.

 

The Federal Skilled Trades Program: here qualified and experienced tradespeople from any part of the world interested in becoming permanent residents in Canada are welcome.
